Hello Zena :) I liked this post so much, it is nice to know a way we can understand matrices further more, the reltion between numbers and letters, especially relating matrices to letters in such a way gives the subject a splash of interest and makes it interesting to study matrices. As for me it is the first time I study matrices and I found it great especially after checking this website where I found that matrices could really be fun. The usage of encoding and decoding of letters to words to numbers refreshes the topic. I liked the pattern used and it is really smart to reach such an idea in a topic like ,atrices so Good Job :) Ali Jammoul LAU
Hello Zena I loved this post so much it is so creative, it is smart to find such a relation between letters and numbers and words and I guess sometimes we would be using matrices in text messages :P and it would be nice to make a new language, matrices language :) then I may say 14, 22, 8, 1, 11, 10, 6, 17, ( Thank You ) Ghid Amhaz
Hello Ms. Zeina Nehme, I was realy interested in reading some of the posts found on this blog. Relating Math to real life makes it quite much more interesting & much easier to be understood. As a biology student- I'm concerned more in relationship btw math & biology- and after a small research- found a study done in university of Arizona using matrices in experiment done on plant biology. Done by: Alberto Macias-Duarte
School of Natural Resources, The University of Arizona. The Matrix: Applying Matrices to Explore Plant Life Histories and Conservation Using following matrix operations: a. Addition of matrices b. Addition of matrices and multiplication of matrices by scalars c. Matrix multiplication d. Matrix multiplication e. Matrix-vector multiplication Website:http://66.102.9.132/search?q=cache:6f6R0B3RibcJ:wiki.az-stem-teachers.org/~azstemte/wiki/mediawiki-1.13.3/images/8/86/Handout.doc+application+of+matrices+in+biology&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=lb.... In this experiment, matrices makes biological results easier to be obtained & biology students more involved in math.:) Finally, Thank you Ms. Zeina ...:) Jimmy Saade (LAU)
